Connections Bursary: Keeping Up with the Creative Industries

Thankyou for allowing me to access the Connections Bursary, this has covered the cost of the ERIC CPD training event on ‘Keeping Up with the Creative Industries’. The ERIC CPD course was focused on careers advice specifically for the creative industries and I would not have been able to attend without your support.
I am keen to keep up to date with all opportunities for my students within the creative industries and the course introduced me to new terms explaining the contemporary areas for creatives employment and how they are defined. It provided me with information on the current state of the industry and access to the website and app. I will be sharing this with my students and we can now research specific areas for careers with high quality resources as well as the different approaches to get a diverse range of young people into the industry.
The CPD provided me with a lot of useful data that I will use in school on the impact of the creative industries in terms of employment and economic value both in the UK and for our exports.
The CPD is really helpful in building my confidence and my knowledge on the current state of the creative sector, I can advise my students on realistic choices and show them how to futureproof their skillset.
This was a really useful CPD session.
